More info

Bamboo species :

The bamboos that we propose are Arundinaria amabilis poles. They are also known as "Tonkin Bamboo". It is the bamboo species that presents the best technical characteristics for split cane fishing rods making.

Origin :

Our poles come from a farm located in Guangdong province, in the south-east of China.

Characteristics :

They have an average diameter of about 50 mm and a total length of 360 cm.

Use :

You can use our poles immediatly because they are already dry

Delivery :

The delivery of very long products is expensive. In order to minimize delivery costs for our customers, we have chosen to only deliver poles intersected in their length. Thus, the poles will be delivered in 2 or 3 pieces according to the choice of the customer in the option "Cutting Option".

Warning :

Poles can only be shipped after being cut to a maximum length of 170cm imposed by our carrier. Thus, for a 2-piece cut, the total maximum length for a shipped pole is 340 cm

Storage advices :

Store the bamboos in a dry place, preferably split on one side along the entire length to minimize the risk of unintentional splitting of the poles during drying.

Risks :

Bamboo is a sharp material which, under stress, can emit projections. For this reason, wear suitable personal protective equipment (goggles, gloves).
